RSS Feed (n)

Another acronym q.v. Some people think it stands for "Really Simple Syndication". Since this phrase contains words that everyone understands it is vitally important that it is made more confusing, so consqeuently some people argue it stands for "Rich Site Summary" and others that it stands for "RDF Site Summary". This is an excellent acronym, because it also has an acronym inside itself. RDF stands for "Resource Description Framework". This is another good acronym because it does not explain what it actually means. For your purposes all you need to know is that RSS is a relatively pointless method of seeing when websites that you are not particularly interested in (such as blogs, or podcasts q.v.) have been updated.
